Mug ShotMr. Jackson is a former Primary Examiner with the U.S Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) where for over 30 years he examined applications in the semiconductor art.  Mr. Jackson’s expertise spanned a wide variety of areas including applications for bipolar transistors, field effect transistors, LEDs, lasers, thyristors, semiconductor packages, metallizations, single electron transistors, heterojunction devices, qubit devices, and other devices, and methods of manufacturing such devices.  

Mr. Jackson’s wide technical knowledge and deep understanding of patent prosecution from his extensive examination experience enhances services to our clients including efficient analysis of various USPTO issues and finding solutions in complex situations.   

Mr. Jackson received a B.A. in physics with a minor in biology from Boston University in 1978.  Before leaving the USPTO, Mr. Jackson was a Primary Examiner from 1990-2017 and was the recipient of the Department of Commerce Bronze Medal.
