Mug ShotDr. Drye is a former examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where he examined applications in semiconductor technologies, including semiconductor devices, methods and processes of manufacture, and apparatuses for creating semiconductor devices.

In addition to examination, Dr. Drye has conducted state-of-the-art research in the semiconductor and superconductor fields, contributing to numerous scientific publications. Dr. Drye’s experience in the synthesis of new materials has led to a cross-disciplinary knowledge base including materials science, chemistry, and condensed matter physics. He has expertise in display devices, packaging techniques, nanomaterials and devices, memory components, power semiconductor devices, photoelectric and electroluminescent devices, and wireless communication.

Dr. Drye received his B.S. in Physics from Clemson University, where he conducted research on thermoelectric materials, and his Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from the University of Maryland at College Park, with a dissertation on iron-pnictide superconductors. During his tenure at the USPTO, Dr. Drye received numerous awards and recognition for his performance.
